Hi and welcome! I’m Kristen, a second-year pediatric neurology resident who loves the brain, outdoor adventuring, and new cultures. I’m currently living and working in Nashville Tennessee with my husband, Ryan. We have three kitties, Loki, Athena, & Leo, and love anything that pertains to being outside. Whether it’s trekking, hiking, camping, biking, scuba diving, kayaking, or trail running, you’ll find us outside when we aren’t at the medical center. I’m particularly interested in medical humanities, global medicine, what it means to be a human and a doctor.

I have big feelings and many thoughts on the experiences that have brought me to this point, so I started this as a way to share some of it with others. That includes the most abounding joy, the heaviest grief, exciting travel stories, reflections on my journey in medicine, the relentless pursuit of wellness, and everything in between. This little corner of the internet is a space for reflecting, learning, and growing as a person, a physician, a global citizen. There’s space here for you, too.
